What does the therapy look like?<\/h3>\nThe therapy starts with a consultation to assess breathing, tongue position and muscle function.\n\nOn this basis, an individual exercise programme is drawn up. The exercises are simple and can be done on a daily basis, but consistency is essential to achieve results. \n\nMeetings are held regularly to support the development of new habits and monitor progress.\n\n

Referral to a myofunctional therapy service<\/h3>\n\nFor children, a doctor’s referral is required to attend myofunctional therapy. This is because the service is funded by the Estonian Health Insurance Fund and a referral is a prerequisite. \n\nAdults do not need a referral for myofunctional therapy and can come on their own initiative.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
