Swelling of the wound area and cheek are normal. The swelling will be at its highest after about 2 days, then it will gradually decrease. Usually the swelling can be relieved and reduced by keeping a cold pack on the cheek in the wound area (a bottle of cold water, you could put ice in a plastic bag and this in a hand bag). Do this for 15 minutes at a time, with 15 minute breaks between each session. Use the cold only on the day of the procedure, not the next day.
