Use the pain medicine recommended by your dentist exactly as directed. Do not exceed the dose stated by your clinician or on the package. Aspirin may increase bleeding and should not be used after the procedure unless a clinician has specifically advised it. Contact the clinic if pain becomes worse after a few days, is not controlled by the recommended medicine, or is accompanied by fever, increasing swelling, an unpleasant taste or pus. Seek urgent help for difficulty breathing or swallowing.
